9 Days Source of the Nile & Kidepo Safari

Day 1. Entebbe
Arrival at Entebbe Airport, where you will mee tup with your guide and then transfer to your hotel for overnight.

Day 2. Jinja
Transfer to jinja. Home to the starting point of the Nile, the longest river in the world! We shall visit the source of the Nile on an evening boat cruise.
Optional activities in Jinja; white water rafting (this needs to be booked in advance, so inform us of your interest prior), bungee jumping, tubing the Nile, Quad biking & horse riding along the shores if the Nile, zip lining in Mabira Forest atop tree canopies!

Day 3. Sipi Falls.
Wake up at leisure. We the proceed to the Mount Elgon region and stay near sipi falls, Uganda’s known highest waterfalls. We shall make a hike to one of the nearest Falls later in the evening.

Day 4. Moroto.
In the morning, we shall hike to the 3 waterfalls or optional coffee plantation tour.
We then proceed to Moroto. On our way we shall visit one of the largest villages in East Africa that hosts the Karimajong cultural people. They are herdsmen and live a nomadic pastoral life.

Day 5. Moroto.
Today we shall visit Pian Upe wildlife reserve, one of Uganda’s largest for all day round game drives with packed lunch. This wildlife reserve has picturesque views of the Morungole mountain ranges, and is made up of mostly bush and thicket savanna vegetation.

Day 6. Kidepo Valley National Park.
Transfer to Uganda’s undoubtedly most beautiful and undiscovered national park! In Kidepo you will see some of the largest buffalo herds, along with giraffes, lions, cheetahs and many more savannah animals. We shall have an evening game drive.

Day 7. Kidepo Valley National Park.
Full day, both morning and evening game drives in the park. We shall have packed lunch.

Day 8. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
In the morning, we shall visit another community settlement of the Karimajong. Later we transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. It is a long drive with scenic views and awesome stopping points such as the Aruu Falls.

Day 9. Flight
We shall embark on a morning Bush walk to search for the endangered Rhinos. This is the only place in Uganda that has the rhinos in the wild, thanks to you who visit and contribute to their protection and conservation.
Later we transfer to Entebbe for your departure flight.
