4 Days Gorillas in Bwindi

This trip includes an unforgettable encounter with one of the world’s endangered species, the Mountain Gorillas! There are only 2 areas in the world with these special giants and that is Virunga massif which (Virunga National Park in D.R. Congo, Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Uganda) and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, Uganda.

Day 1. Entebbe
Arrival and pick up at the airport by your guide. Then transfer to your hotel for the rest of the day/evening.
Optional: Half day Entebbe town tour (This depends on arrival time)

Day 2. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park. It is a long and scenic drive of over 9 hours with stops along the way.
You get to have scenic views of cascading landscapes, changing terrains and vegetation as well as weather as you are driven to the far end of Southwestern Uganda. Road views filled with massive banana plantations, planted and natural forests welcome you the Uganda’s western countryside.

Day 3. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The long-awaited day! We go Gorilla tracking.
On this day you wake up early in the morning, and head to the briefing point after breakfast. Briefing starts at 6:30AM and you are allocated tracking groups.
You will be allowed 1 hour with one of man’s closest relatives, at a safe distance. Please take all the photos you want and videos (Ensure to turn off your camera flash when doing so)
Tracking can take a few hours depending on how close from your tracking start point the Gorillas spent the previous night.
Optional visit to the Batwa community in case tracking is done and finished in time.

Day 4. Flight
Early morning set off back to Entebbe for your outbound flight.
We shall have a stop at the equator to experience weight changes and shop souvenirs if interested.
This tour ends with a drop off at the Airport.
